  Ø

Etymology: Eretiǹgrai "vocalic R", from the same in Mižinai.

The 37th letter of the T́uliǹgrai alphabet is a vocalic sound, but neither a vowel, diphthong, or sequence of vowels; hence it comes after all the other vocalic letters in alphabetical order.

In the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet), it can be represented as a schwa with the tail of a small r attached to it, or a sans-serif Lambda with the same attachment. In Eretiǹgrai and Mižinai, it was usually written as an R serving as a vowel, that is, an R not preceded by a vowel. In American English, at least, this same sound can be written AR as in "forward", EAR as in "early", ER as in "herd", IR as in "birth", OR as in "word", or UR as in "fur".

The name of the letter is ø (informal) and eøretai (formal).
